taxstone ( 4UMF NEWS ) Hip-Hop Personality Taxstone Arrested In Irving Plaza Shooting: New York hip hop personality Taxstone has been arrested in relation to a shooting that killed a man at concert venue Irving Plaza just before rapper T.I. was scheduled to perform, sources say. Rapper Ronald Collins, known as Troy Ave, and two others were wounded in the May 2016 shooting that saw Collins' friend and bodyguard Ronald McPhatter shot dead, police said. On Monday, law enforcement sources told NBC 4 New York they had arrested Daryl Campbell aka Taxstone in Brooklyn. Campbell is a hip hop personality and hosts his own "Tax Season" podcast. Sources said he was wanted on a federal warrant charging him with being a felon in possession of firearm and was also being sought by the NYPD in relation to the Irving Plaza shooting. U.S. Marshals New York and New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force and NYPD arrested Campbell Monday morning without incident, sources said. Last year's shooting happened in a third-floor green room as about 950 people shuffled into the concert shortly after 10 p.m., police said. The melee began as a fist fight, but quickly devolved into a shooting. Rapper T.I. does not appear to have played any part in the shooting, officials said. Video shot inside the 1,025-person venue showed a chaotic scene as concertgoers rushed to the sides trying to leave the area as a group of people tended to a person on the floor. Afterwards, Troy Ave was arraigned for the shooting on charges including attempted murder. He pleaded not guilty. Since then, he has been shot again in his car while driving in East Flatbush. Source
