( 4UMF NEWS ) Woman Robbed On The Way To Report Robbery:

A Pennsylvania woman couldn’t catch a break when she was robbed at a store — and then robbed a second time on her way to report the first theft to police.

Harriet Sweger, 72, was at a Big Lots retail store in McKees Rocks when a woman bumped into her, grabbed her checkbook and fled, NBC affiliate WPXI in Pittsburgh reported Monday.

Sweger decided to drive to the police station, but made the regrettable decision to stop and ask for directions in Stowe Township. That’s when a man came over and swiped her purse through her car’s open window, she told WPXI.

“I was scared to death. I mean you should have seen the way he snatched it and started running like hell,” Sweger said.

She had to cancel her bank card and is uncertain how much was stolen between the two thefts. She’s also become fearful of leaving her house, WXPI reported.

“Wouldn’t you be?” she said, adding, “I was robbed twice! Is there a tag on me or what?”

But there are a couple of silver linings for Sweger: Her checkbook was returned to Big Lots and she has since retrieved it. And Stowe Township police say there’s a suspect in the purse snatching and have issued a warrant for his arrest, according to the Associated Press.

The perp’s name wasn’t released.

I can’t…
