Lil Phat was tragically murdered in front of a hospital in Sandy Springs, Georgia on Thursday (June 7) and this past weekend the Trill Entertainment rapper was laid to rest in his hometown. His longtime friend and Trill Ent. collaborator Webbie delivered a eulogy to commemorate his life, but the rapper was so choked up with emotion, that small portions of his speech were inaudible at times.
Webbie called Lil Phat his ‘lil brother’ and expressed sorrow at his sudden loss, adding that together they ‘did everything but die. Now he done died, and we still going.’ When Phat died Webbie immediately took to Twitter to mourn the loss of his brother, writing, “RIP TO MY LIL BROTHER PHAT! LIFE SO F–KED UP! TRILL4LIFE. YOU STUPID BITCHES THINK DEATH A JOKE UNTIL YOU LOSE SOMEBODY YOU LOVE! #RIPLILPHAT.”
The young rapper was featured on Webbie’s 2008 hit “Independent” alongside Lil Boosie. In 2010, Lil Phat and Webbie released their LP Trill 4 Life.
