Police say two people were shot outside the Empire State Building Friday morning.

Authorities said emergency personnel received a call about the shooting at Fifth Avenue and 34th Street just after 9 a.m.

The circumstances of the shooting weren’t immediately clear.

At least one person was led away in a stretcher. The streets in the area are shut down from traffic.
