( 4UMF NEWS ) Two Bus Drivers Stabbed:

A passenger, apparently armed with a sharp object possibly a syringe, stabbed one bus driver in one of two incidents in Brooklyn on Monday.

Police say the suspect came up behind the operator of the B68 bus and stabbed him in the shoulder just before 11 a.m.

The bus was on Prospect Park West and Greenwood Avenue in the Windsor Terrace section at the time of the attack.

The man fled from the bus and into Prospect Park. The bus driver was taken to Methodist Hospital for observation. Transit officials are trying to determine what was in the possible syringe.

About an hour later, a woman bus driver was hit in the head by a passenger in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn. The driver of a B45 bus was struck at St. John’s Place and Utica Avenue around noon, officials said.

She was taken to Kings County Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. It was not immediately known if the incidents were related.
