Johhny Depp has been cast in the role of Tonto , in the Lone Ranger movie. Johhny Depp is approaching the role with the intent on recreating Tonto’s role as the Lone Ranger’s trusted side kick. The 1950‘s version of the hit TV show “ The Lone Ranger “ , portrayed Tonto as an obedient , almost silent partner , to which Johhny Depp took exception to as a child. Now as an adult , Depp seeks to recreate Tonto’s role as more of an equal partner and leader in his own right. The “Lone Ranger” , is being produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and is currently filming in Mexico.
