Teen Found Dead In Stranger’s Backyard

Teen Found Dead In Stranger's Backyard

( 4UMF NEWS ) Teen Found Dead In Stranger’s Backyard:

A 15-year-old Queens girl was found dead in the backyard of a stranger’s home Sunday.

Investigators were probing whether Aisha Farooqui may have overdosed on prescribed medications, police sources said, before collapsing behind the house on 135th Ave. in Rosedale.

She was found dead, foaming at the mouth, about 6:45 a.m., wearing a black jacket, black pants and red shoes. Friends said Aisha had attended a 16th birthday party for two friends in the neighborhood Saturday night, and left with a man she didn’t know who gave her pills.

Police were investigating what happened at the party.

The Jamaica High School sophomore wanted to be a doctor, friends said.

“She used to always help people with their problems – boy troubles, friend troubles,” said pal Ashley Louras, 18.
“I thought she was going to wake up and say. ‘Why is everyone writing RIP in my Facebook?’”

Aisha lived in Flushing with her father, who works for a New Jersey television station, her mother, a health care worker, and two sisters, neighbors said.

Her family was too distraught to speak to a reporter Sunday.

Neighbors on the block where Aisha died wondered if she was among a group of more than a dozen teens hanging out on the block Saturday night.

“When I came home from work there was a bunch of kids on the corner,” said neighbor Marie Violet St. Pierre, 58, who arrived home about 10:30 p.m. Saturday. “There was a group partying, talking.”

A discarded bottle of Parrot Bay rum lay on the ground Sunday near where the teens gathered.

The distraught owner of the home where Aisha’s body was found went to church Sunday morning after the grisly discovery, neighbors said.

Her body was first spotted by his next-door neighbor, who called 911.

“This is just shocking,” said the neighbor, who declined to give her name. “She’s just lying there in front of a garage.”
