Kevin Durant scored 30 points and set an Olympic record as the United States defeated Spain 107-100 to win the gold medal at the London Olympics on Sunday.
Kobe Bryant scored 17 and LeBron James had 19, including a three-pointer with just under two minutes remaining that gave the U.S. an eight-point lead and much-needed momentum.
Pau Gasol, Bryant’s teammate on the Los Angeles Lakers, led Spain with 24 points.
