Gospel singer and songwriter Mario Jermaine Brown is gearing up to release his debut album, The Mario Brown Project. He has been making waves in the gospel community and is gearing up to hit the road on his first tour ever, as part of the McDonald’s Gospel Tour with Fred Hammond.
Brown aka “Rio” is an extremely gifted and talented singer/songwriter who grew up in the church. In his teenage years, Brown dabbled in R&B music even signing to Jagged Edge but found his way back to the Lord.
4UMF sat down the with amazing Brown for an in-depth one-on-one interview. Brown opened up about his gospel roots, finding his way back to gospel, going on tour for the first time, the bible scriptures keeps him going, how he connects with his fans and what they can expect from The Mario Brown Project.
“I believe my call is to help and inspire people,” says Brown of his debut album. “I know i have a different sound. It’s not a traditional album. I’m hoping people will appreciate it musically first. Lyrically, there’s a message in each song. I want people to walk away encouraged and uplifted.”
