( 4UMF NEWS ) Man Punches Lawyer In Court:
A cowardly South Carolina thug will get an additional six months in prison for sucker punching his public defender in court.
Lamarcus Williamson, 30, cheap shot in York County court on Tuesday was caught by courtroom surveillance cameras.
After pleading guilty to robbery, assault and drug charges and getting a sentence of 15 years, Williamson, who was handcuffed, cocked back and decked his lawyer, Dan Hall, according to video posted on local television station WSOCTV.
Court officer immediately pounced on Williamson and dragged him out.
Meanwhile, Hall proved he was no glass jaw, rising to his feet and looking woozy but okay. Hall said he never saw his client’s spineless cheap shot coming.
A judge slapped Williamson with an extra six months for contempt of court at a hearing on Wednesday.
“I’ve been doing this for 25 years and I never seen anyone physically attacked in a courtroom,” he told the station.
Hall said he suffered a busted lip and a bruise, but wasn’t seriously injured.
“An inch higher I would have had a broken nose, an inch lower my front teeth would have been knocked out,” he told the Charlotte Observer.
