( 4UMF NEWS ) Lauryn Hill‘s Son Cries On Stage:
Lauryn Hill released arguably one of the best RnB albums ever made with her debut solo record The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill in 1998. And although the 37-year-old singer has been in and out of the spotlight over the years, she is still held in high esteem in the music industry.
But it appears that she is ready to encourage her children’s musical efforts and brought them on to the stage with her recently although it did not all go according to plan.
With their gene pool consisting of Lauryn and their father Rohan Marley, son of the late reggae icon Bob Marley, there is no denying that they would be a talented bunch. Lauryn has five children with Rohan; Zion, 14, Selah Louise, 13, Joshua Omaru, 10, John Nesta, nine, and four-year-old Sarah.
During a performance at the Highline Ballroom in New York City recently, it appears the spotlight got too much for one of her little boys. He forgot the words to his song and started crying on stage as his siblings tried to make him feel better.
Lauryn tried persuade him to take the mic back, but he couldn’t seem to get over it and she was seen moments later bending down to help console the youngster as the backup singers continued to sing.
The proud mother shared mostly the adorable moment with the intimate crowd as her elder children took individual moments to show off their rapping skills to the audience.
