The most infamous vampire in Hollywood has risen again. Kristen Stewart emerged from her self-imposed seclusion Thursday night for the red-carpet premiere of her new film, “On the Road,” at the Toronto Film Festival.
The 22-year-old actress, dressed in a slinky black Zuhair Murad dress with colorful sequin flowers, drew loud cheers from the hundred-deep crowd of fans lining the barricades at Toronto’s Ryerson Theatre.
Stewart spent more time hugging and talking to those fans behind barricades – some of whom had been camped out since 7 a.m. – than answering reporters’ questions. She paused to sign one Twi-Hard’s poster which read, “Talent, beauty, strength and courage, we stand by you, Kristen always.”
Paired with “On the Road” co-star Garrett Hedlund for a few select interviews, Stewart seemed slightly fidgety, but otherwise ran the press gauntlet with head held high.She struck a pose as she spoke: one hand on her hip, the other held behind her back.
Stewart had remained out of the public eye since photos surfaced in July showing her making out with her married “Snow White and the Huntsman” director, Rupert Sanders.
The starlet’s tryst with the married father of two ended her three-year-relationship with on- and off-screen lover Robert Pattinson.
