( 4UMF NEWS ) Former Prosecutor Busted Selling Pot:

A former Manhattan prosecutor accused of having a felony-weight amount of pot after selling to an undercover cop in the East Village last year has been indicted in connection to the bust.

David Leung, 44, made a brief appearance in Manhattan Criminal Court — where he worked during his 11-year stint in the Manhattan District Attorney‘s office – to hear the development Tuesday morning.

The former prosecutor is facing at least one felony count after allegedly sold $200 worth of pot to an officer on E. 9th St. before stashes totaling more than eight ounces were found in his trunk and on the floor of his car on Sept. 27, according to the criminal complaint.

Leung and his attorney, Andrew Tilem, declined to comment on the development outside the courtroom. Leung was a prosecutor in Manhattan from 1993 to 2004.

He’s due back in court on Feb. 19 when the indictment charges are expected to be unsealed.
