( 4UMF NEWS ) Former NBA Player Dies:
Former NBA player Orlando Wooldridge has died at age 52, according to ShreveportTimes.com. Woolridge was a standout basketball player at the University of Notre Dame before joining the Chicago Bulls as the No. 6 overall pick in the 1981 NBA Draft.
A 6-foot-9 forward, Woolridge played 13 total seasons in the NBA with the Bulls, Nets, Lakers, Nuggets, Pistons, Bucks and 76ers. woolridge was also the head coach of the LA Sparks in the WNBA.
Woolridge was arrested in February 2012 for stealing aluminum tubing from a drill site in Louisiana.
According to the Shreveport Times, Woolridge died at his parents’ home in Mansfield, La.
