( 4UMF NEWS ) Fat Armed Robber Wanted:
Police are looking for a portly armed robber caught on tape in two Brooklyn holdups, one failed and one succesful, on the same day.
The creep first struck at 2:45 a.m. on Aug. 23 in a convenience store on 4th Ave. in Bay Ridge, cops said.
Wearing sunglasses and a black bandana over his face, he waved a gun at a frightened store clerk who defended himself with a stool as the crook grabbed money and fled.
Barely 18 hours later, he attempted to hold up a deli on Kane St. in Cobble Hill, police said.
He leaned against the counter, the video shows, and gestured repeatedly at the cash register with his gun.
But when the worker behind the counter failed to respond, the would-be robber gave up and slinked away.
The suspect is described as a white man, between 20 and 25 years old, 5 foot 8 and 200 to 220 pounds.
