Dumped Boyfriend Repeatedly Runs Over Ex-Girlfriend

( 4UMF NEWS ) Dumped Boyfriend Repeatedly Runs Over Ex-Girlfriend:

A New Jersey man embroiled in a lover’s quarrel with his girlfriend was charged with murder Tuesday for running her over — and over and over. Authorities say Charles Ann, 26, intentionally mowed down his girlfriend Monday night in Fort Lee after she told him she wanted to break up.

Witnesses told cops Ann slammed his Hyundai Sonata into his gal pal Aena Hong, 25, about 4:55 p.m. — and then ran over her body repeatedly.

“After striking the victim, [Ann\] put the car in reverse and backed up over the victim and subsequently drove forward over the victim again,” the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office said.

“It is believed that Ann drove over Ms. Hong, going forward and backward approximately three times.”

Witness Gene Hoffman called the incident “horrific.”

“I haven’t seen anything like that since I was overseas in combat,” Hoffman told nbcnewyork.com.

Hong, of Fort Lee, was pronounced dead at an area hospital.

Cops launched a manhunt for Ann, who sped away from his girlfriend’s lifeless body. Bergen County detectives, with the help of NYPD investigators, found Ann hiding at a friend’s apartment in Flushing, Queens 4 a.m. Tuesday.

Ann, a student from Korea, was carrying his passport and a large sum of cash, leading investigators to believe he was planning on skipping the country.

Ann, who was living in Fort Lee, was charged with first-degree murder. His bail was set at $3 million.
