Three 6 Mafia rapper DJ Paul was arrested in NYC last night for possession of a weapon after cops say the Academy Award winner was illegally packin’ a taser. According to reports, Paul was carrying an open beer (Corona) out of a restaurant when he passed a couple of officers. When officers confronted Paul about the open container, he reportedly told the cops he had a taser on his person which are illegal to carry in New York City.

Cops confiscated the weapon and placed Paul under arrest for open container and misdemeanor possession of a weapon. He was transported to a nearby station where he was booked and placed behind bars. Paul is slated to face a judge this morning.9:00 AM PT — Paul was just arraigned. He pled “not guilty” to both charges and was released on his own recognizance. He’s due back in court in December.
