Who would ever think they would see this title.. Beyonce moshing. Jay-Z was the headliner today at BBC Radio 1′s Hackney Weekend and he asked the crowd to make a circle so they could rock the f@ck out during “N*ggas In Paris” and his wife joined in flashing her pearly whites with the audience.
The ‘Where Have You Been’ singer will be taking to the stage tomorrow for her own slot, but according to sources she will make an appearance with her Roc Nation boss as will Kanye, who has been touring with Jay-Z for their hit album ‘Watch The Throne’.
Over 50,000 fans will be hitting the Hackney Marshes for the free event that is set over two days. Fans have been making their way onto the East London site since the gates opened at 10.30am with some people camping out since the early hours to get to the front of the queue. More than 200,000 fans applied for tickets back in February, for the biggest live event ever staged by Radio 1.
Dappy, Tim Westwood and Leona Lewiskicked off proceedings whilst Jay Z is set to close the day with an hour long set on the main stage tonight.
Sunday will see Rihanna headlining the main stage whilst Florence and the Machine, Tinie Tempah, Jessie J, Plan B, David Guetta and Lana Del Rey are also set to perform.
